Overview

Friends of Minute Man National Park is a non-profit organization that supports the Minute Man National Historical Park in Massachusetts. Their mission is to preserve and promote the park's history and educate the public about the American Revolution. However, with changing times and evolving donor expectations, the organization's current brand identity needs an update to remain relevant and attract more donors.

The Brief

Friends of Minute Man National Park is looking to develop a new brand identity that reflects their mission, values, and unique offerings while attracting a diverse range of donors. To accomplish this. they desire a new logo, website, and both physical and digital collateral.

Logo Design

The Brief

A new logo design that represents the organization's unique history and identity. The logo should reference their ties to the park, be recognizable, and easy to reproduce in various mediums and sizes.

The Solution

Knowing that history is the organization's key focus, I created a logo that uses the park's iconic Minute Man Statue to symbolize its historical significance. Careful stroke placement and negative space were used to define the statue, and parts of the statue extend beyond the square to represent the bravery of the revolutionaries who broke free from the British.

By leveraging the historical significance of the park and incorporating it into the logo, I aimed to create a design that resonates with stakeholders and visitors, while communicating the organization's commitment to preserving the park's rich history.
